Who is Tom Taylor?
A life-long resident of Farmington, New Mexico, Tom is the Republican Representative to the New Mexico House of Representatives for District 1 and House Minority Leader. He is an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Farmington High School where he was Student Body President. After graduating from UNM where he studied architecture, Tom owned and operated Farmington Lumber & Hardware for 25 years. He was on the Planning & Zoning Committee, the City Council and was Mayor of Farmington for 12 years. He is a member of the LDS church, and owns and manages real estate and other investments.

Family
Tom’s wife, Bev, is a native of New Mexico, and a graduate of UNM. She owns and operates Artifacts Gallery and is active in several local organizations. Tom and Bev have four really cool children, four grandsons and one grandaughter. Tara is married to Greg Churchill (sheriff’s officer), and lives in Farmington and is a partner in Artifacts Gallery. Tyson is married to Melinda (9 News) and lives and works in Denver for C12, a carbon storage company. Tennille lives in Farmington and is married to Ryan Niehaus (teacher) and owns and operates Tennille’s Violin House teaching Suzuki violin and plays with the San Juan Symphony. Thomas lives in Denver and is working four jobs: construction, barista, retail sales and historical property management.
